We are absolutely delighted that after being announced as a finalist in the AABC Conservation Awards in November, Becket's Chapel is just one of eleven winning projects at a national level. That means that we will receive either an award or be highly commended at the Civic Trust Awards ceremony in April.
This incredible recognition celebrates the dedication and creativity behind preserving and adapting this historic building to meet the needs of the future, and is an achievment of which we are immensely proud.
This achievment is a result of the hard work and dedication of all involved, including Patricia Forero at The Architect Studio, our team of contractors - Greystone & Mason, Conisbee, Andrew Morton Associates CBG Consultants, NDM Heath Ltd and Philip Waller Consulting - together with the trustees of Historic Norfolk, especially Judith Harwood, Richard Halsey and Terry Hickman Smith. It was a partnership project with Historic England.
The AABC Conservation Awards recognise projects which demonstrate the highest standards of historic building conservation, contributing to the quality and appearance of the built environment, whilst being sustainable, accessible, and providing a positive civic contribution.
