2025 gets off to a great start when The Cavick Quartet return to Becket's Chapel on 18 January, playing works by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Mozart. Tickets are £15 and are available via the link on the home page of the website. This is a fundraising concert with all proceeds supporting the upkeep of the chapel.
The Cavick Quartet are: Ben Lowe - Violin, Anne Hooper - Violin, Ben Payne - Viola, Chris Lawrence - Cello. The quartet was formed in 2009 by leading string players in Norfolk with a shared passion for chamber music and the realisation that performance was an essential part of their enjoyment. They perform regularly in Norfolk, often to raise money for good causes. Their repertoire is focused around Haydn, as well as Dvorak, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. They also enjoy exploring occasional pieces for quartet and have featured works by Frank Bridge, Joaquin Turina, Giacomo Puccini, Vilem Tausky and Tchaikovsky in their concerts.
